What to Expect
With your initial contact, whether by phone or email, I will ask a number of questions to better understand your need for massage, your goals for your session, and any modalities or treatments you’ve tried in the past.
Your first appointment will begin with the completion of a comprehensive client intake form and a brief discussion that addresses my approach, your expectations and any current or chronic health issues. Many health concerns can be related. For example, pain can cause you to favor one or more major muscle groups, generating potential injuries due to over- or underuse.
Please bring athletic attire (shorts, t-shirt or jog bra) to be worn during the sports massage and stretching components of your appointment.
Payment is due at the conclusion of your visit. I accept cash and credit cards. If you participate in a Flexible Spending Account or a Health Savings Account, your tax-free contributions to the plan can be used for qualified medical expenses that are not normally covered by health insurance. You may be eligible for reimbursement through your FSA or HSA with a prescription from your physician for medical massage therapy. In such cases, a detailed receipt will be provided so you can be reimbursed for your treatment.
I am also available to work at athletic events, health expos, holiday celebrations, employee appreciation days, and for worksite consultations regarding the prevention of repetitive use injuries.
